involves deep tissue manual therapy to clear out the adhesion's (scar
tissue) formed in muscle fiber during physical activity. The technique
is more effective than a deep tissue massage or a sports massage, as it
elongates the muscles and removes the knots.This massage technique should be done slowly and deliberately in order to 'feel' the muscle underneath. "
For a long time I had heard this from many of my coworkers and never really knew what they were talking about. Then three months after hearing this I finally asked and they told me the exact thing that I imagined in my head but never really knew what it was call. So basically I have been using stripping the entire time I have been doing deep tissue and sports. Thanks school for telling me nothing of what I was doing. Kudos.
